NHS Cheer are National Champions

Nashville Cheerleaders still walking on Cloud 9 after winning their first NCA National Championship in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, January 23rd. The cheerleading squad and their cheer coach, Erin Askew were recognized Saturday night during the annual Rotary Football Banquet.

Askew said following her squads second performance she knew they had done everything they could do because they left everything on the floor.

Askew said the Scrapper cheer team faced 11 teams from across the country.

Askew said she’s glad people are recognizing the athleticism of cheerleaders.
