NHS Scrapperette Softball Coach speaks at Nashville Rotary meeting

The Nashville Scrapperette softball will open their season this afternoon at Lake Hamilton at 4:30 pm

Head Coach Boomer Brown told the Nashville Rotary Club that his team has outscored their conference opponents by over 400 points in the last four years. He said that’s the reason he schedules different games against some quality opponents for non-conference.

Brown said the Futrell Marine Saturday Showdown is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 and he mentioned the teams that will be competing against the Scrapperettes.

Brown said the softball fundraiser will be on Friday, April 18th. They will have their chicken dinner from 11 to 1 at Diamond Bank and the festivities on Futrell Field starting that afternoon.

Brown said it’s a pleasure to coach the Scrapperettes because it’s a good team that made up of great people. He also bragged about their team GPS.

This year’s regional tournament will be held in De Queen and the state tournament will be held in Monticello.
