Northwest Louisiana Covid-19 Numbers Higher Than Area Counties

While all southwest Arkansas counties, except for Little River, are dealing with cases of COVID-19, the numbers continue rising in the northwest Louisiana parishes that border southern Arkansas.

In the Shreveport, Bossier City and Minden, Louisiana parishes that join Arkansas, over 900 cases of the virus have been reported. There have also been 26 deaths combined in those three parishes. Those figures represent basically the same amount of cases seen in the entire state of Arkansas. The three parish death total is more than all of Arkansas’.

COVID-19 case numbers are beginning to increase in the Texarkana area. Miller County, Arkansas is reporting 13 cases of the virus, while Bowie County, Texas now has 27 confirmed cases.
