November was drier than normal
For the first time in 2020, Nashville has experienced below normal rainfall figures for two consecutive months. November recorded just 1 and 88 hundredths inches of rain, which is almost three inches below the normal monthly amount. That follows an October that was below normal by more than four inches of rain. Despite the lack of rain the past two months, the city’s annual amount received so far this year is approaching 70 inches, which is above normal by more than 21 inches
High temperatures in November were quite a bit above where they should be. Daytime readings last month averaged 68.7 degrees, which is nearly 3 and a half degrees warmer than usual.
