NPD Patrolman discusses law enforcement career Part 1

Recently, KMTB and KNAS had the opportunity to speak with Nashville Police Department’s newly appointed Patrolman Joshua Dorse. In part one of our discussion, we talked about what inspired him to go into law enforcement. 

Dorse said that growing up, his father was in law enforcement and EMS just about his whole life. Dorse stated that his parents instilled in him that if you can help somebody in the smallest way then that’s one way to make a difference.

Dorse expressed that this moment means the world to him. He added that writing tickets is just a part of the job but being able to help someone in need while in uniform makes it worth it.
