Nursing Homes Consider Allowing Visitors

Today, Arkansas moves into the next phase of reopening due to Covid 19.

Among things being allowed under certain circumstances is nursing homes opening their doors for patient visits from the public. However, many nursing homes are choosing not to do this at the present time.

In some cases in our area, nursing home staff say people who have loved ones within the facility have asked the nursing homes to not allow outside visits as of today even though the state says it is permissible.

Covid 19 continues to affect nursing home residents around the state. More than 730 nursing home residents in Arkansas have tested positive for the coronavirus. At Dierks, the nursing home facility has reported multiple cases among patients and staff as of this week.
