Perrin signs with Harding

Friday, December 16, four Nashville High School student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic careers in college, while pursuing their degrees.

Journey Pope signed with the University of the Ozarks to play tennis. Miller Goff signed with Ouachita Baptist University to run track. Wade Wescott signed with UA Cossatot to compete on the school’s shooting sports team. And, Sloan Perrin signed with Harding University to play football.

The ceremony was attended by the four student’s families and teammates.

Southwest Arkansas Radio has focused on each individual student-athlete over the past several days. Today, we will spotlight Sloan Perrin.

According to head football coach Mike Volarvich, Perrin ranks in the Top 10 in 12 different categories in the 112 year history of Scrapper football.

One thing that Journey Pope, Wade Wescott, Miller Goff and Sloan Perrin all have in common is they work hard to achieve their goals. And, as Athletic Director James Bunch Nichols always says, ‘Once a Scrapper, always a Scrapper.”
