Pike County CADC Senior Day Health Fair

The Central Arkansas Development Council hosted Pike County Senior Day at the Senior Center in Murfreesboro last week.

Site Manager of CADC Senior Center Vickie Hutson talked about what activities took place at the event.

Hutson said that prior to COVID they would go to the Park and go for a walk on Senior Day but this year they wanted to accommodate the ones that couldn’t get around as well as others.

During the event, CNO of Howard Memorial Hospital Paula Mitchell described how some of HMH’s workers were being of service to the Seniors of the Pike County Community, what resources they had provided and what upcoming health fair events that HMH will be attending.

Central Arkansas Development Council was founded in 1965 and is a private nonprofit community action agency operating in 19 counties in the state of Arkansas. Not only does CADC offer senior activities, but they offer a variety of services such as nutrition, tax assistance, education and more. CADC is committed to providing opportunities for empowerment for individuals, families, and communities.
