Pike County Quorum Court

Pike County Quorum Court met Monday night. Judge Mack advised the quorum court that the county buildings had received an appraisal quote that was significantly higher this year than previous years. Currently the county is paying $20,323 for all county owned buildings however the quote received and approved in yesterday’s meeting was for a reproduction option adding an additional $10,886. A motion was made and passed with a unanimous vote of 8 for and non opposing. 

The next topic on the agenda was the presentation of an idea to update the personnel policy handbook. After discussion on the matter it was agreed upon to distribute copies of the current policy and allow each member the time to make updates they saw fit. Justice Baker supported this idea since the current policy was clearly outdated and agreed to revisit those revisions at the next meeting.

Last business in the meeting was the discussion of schedules concerning a time to meet to discuss requested budgets by the budget committee. October 27th at 2pm was the agreed upon time.
