Pike County Residents Facing Charges From June

Two Delight residents are facing assorted charges in connection with a June 9th incident that occurred at the EZ Mart store.

52 year old Jeffrey Vancamp and 48 year old Debbie Vancamp are each charged with felony counts of Terroristic Threatening and Breaking or Entering. Prosecutors have also charged the two with misdemeanors of 3rd Degree Battery and Obstructing Governmental Operations.

Their arrests came as law enforcement personnel were trying to investigate and sort through details of a shooting incident in which one of the Vancamps’ relatives had been shot in the leg. Police said as they had the suspect detained in a sheriff’s patrol car, Jeffrey Vancamp and Debbie Vancamp gained access to the back seat of the patrol unit and began assaulting the detained suspect. Reports said Debbie Vancamp also struggled with deputies during the incident.
