Pike County Court

Pike County Court brought 24 YO Derian Arrick of Glenwood. Glenwood is accused of Sexual Assault -2nd Degree. The 2nd degree is being pursued due to Arrick being 18 years or older at the time of the alleged incident with the juvenile involved being less than fourteen years of age. After an investigation took place an arrest warrant was issued and successfully served on May 13th with Arrick being placed in the Pike County Jail. Arrickā€™s pre-trial hearing is scheduled for September 27th with his trial scheduled for October 28th. 

Pike County Court also brought 34 YO Barbara Rusher of Prescott. Facts constituting reasonable cause are as follows:

April 26th at approximately 1:57PM Pike County Dispatch received a call from Barbara Rusher requesting to speak to an officer in reference to some stolen property. Police Chief Randy Lamb took the call and was told by Mrs. Rusher that she has several items in her possession that she believed were stolen. Rusher told Chief Lamb she was in room #5 at the Shamrock Motel and requested he take a look at the items. Chief Lamb arrived at the Shamrock Motel room #5 and upon entering Mrs. Rusher showed the alleged stolen items to Chief Lamb. The items included baseball cards, knives, a speaker, jewelry, a black zipper case that contained what appeared to be drug paraphernalia, 2 small plastic bags that contained a green leafy substance, and 2 small plastic bags that appeared to contain methamphetamine. Rusher stated she wanted police to take the items in to be investigated as to who they belonged to and where they were stolen from. Rusher was questioned as to the last time she had used any drugs and responded that she had last used methamphetamine around 6am that morning and that it was from the package that was on the bed. Rusher is being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance schedule 1,2 and possession with purpose to deliver. Her pre-trial hearing is scheduled for August 23rd with a trial date set for September 16th.
