Traffic stop in Pike County leads to drug arrest

On February 22nd around 9:12pm, Pike County Deputy Richard O’Neal made a traffic stop on a vehicle with a paper tag. According to the affidavit, O’Neal had dispatch run the driver license and it came back to suspect 37 year old Danny Fatheree. It was reported that Fatheree was on parole with a search waiver on file. O’Neal then asked Fatheree to step out of the vehicle to be searched.

O’Neal reportedly found a camouflage cloth bag in the passenger side back seat and when he opened it, there was a clear glass pipe that’s used for smoking methamphetamine. O’Neal then lifted the flap and found a clear plastic bag with a white crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine along with a set of scales.

Fatheree was placed under arrest and transported to the Pike County Jail. Fatheree was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
