Regional softball and baseball action begins today

Regional softball and baseball tournaments begin today.  At the 4A South Tournament in Malvern, the Nashville Scrapperettes softball team carries the number one seed from District 7-4A.  Today’s opponent will be Crossett, the 4th seed from 8-4A.    Nashville enters the game with a 21 and 4 season record, while Crossett is 13 and 10 this season. 

In the baseball bracket, the Scrappers will face Star City this evening.  Nashville is 13 and 13 on the season and enters today’s contest as a three seed.  Their opponent from 8-4A is Star City.  The Bulldogs are a number two seed and enters the game with a season record of 18 and 6.

B99.5 will broadcast the baseball game this evening, while the softball broadcast will be on 105.5 FM.  Due to the excessive rainfall from Thursday, it’s possible that start times for today’s games may be delayed from their scheduled times.
