Additional felony charges filed against Glenwood man

Thirteen additional felony cases were filed Wednesday against a Glenwood resident accused of raping or having sexual contact with several minor children. Prior to yesterday, 58 year old Barry Walker had already been charged with well over 40 felony counts in Pike County. The charges yesterday include 9 cases that were filed in Clark County and an additional 4 cases filed in Pike County.
Each of the cases filed yesterday in Clark County listed four felony counts, for a total of 36 charges that include Rape, Computer Exploitation of a Child, Producing or Directing the Sexual Performance of a Child, and Engaging a Child in Sexually Explicit Content.
The charges filed Wednesday in Pike County were for a combination of the same offenses.
The initial charges against Walker were filed as the result of a search warrant that was executed at Walker’s residence in Glenwood this summer. During that process, police say seven guns were recovered. Two of those weapons were listed as fully automatic sub machine guns. In addition to the weapons recovery, police say they found a bag of suspected methamphetamine. Several electronic devices were seized, including a hard drive that police say contained homemade videos and child pornography. There were also several thousand downloaded videos and pictures of child pornography, according to authorities.
