Rotarians Hear About Club Project & CADC Services

The Nashville Rotary club met for its regular weekly session on Wednesday.

President Andi Reeves-Green announced the 2020-2021 Rotary theme is “Rotary Opens Opportunities” and gave a description of the club project for the upcoming year.

This week’s speaker was Family and Community Enrichment Specialist Teresa Atkins from the Howard/South Pike counties CADC office in Nashville.

Atkins said CADC works through a variety of programs including SCAT transportation services, single parent scholarships, free tax preparation assistance and rent and utility assistance programs.

Atkins said for the rental assistance program, CADC will pay up to $500. To receive water utility assistance, individuals will need a water bill showing the past due amount. Starting July 13th, CADC will provide assistance with electric and gas bills.
