Scrapperettes suffer first loss of the season at Benton
The Scrapperettes suffered their first loss of the season Thursday afternoon at Benton. The Lady Panthers scored 7 runs on 8 hits to defeat the Scrapperettes 7-3.
Coach Boomer Brown said his team hit the ball well. Ellen Spigner went 3 for 4 at the plate. He said they played good defense, Eva Reeder made a spectacular catch in left, but the Lady Panthers were just a little better on Thursday.
Tonight, the Scrapperettes host the Lady Cats of Hope in a conference matchup at Futrell Field in the Nashville City Park at 5 pm and they will travel to Atlanta, Texas to play a double header against the undefeated Lady Jack Rabbits at 1 pm.
