Scrappers Advance To District Tournament Championship Game

A 73 to 64 win over Arkadelphia Thursday evening has advanced the Nashville Scrappers to the championship game of the 7-4A District Tournament Saturday night.

Nashville held a halftime lead of 39 to 30 but lead by as many as 15 points in the first half.

Cade McBride led Nashville in scoring with 20 points. Devonte Witherspoon had 17 points and De’Vay Ragland added 15.

Nashville’s opponent in the championship game will be the host team Malvern Leopards. They advanced last night by defeating Bauxite.

The Scrapperettes failed to hold a five point lead late in their semi-final game and lost to Mena 48 to 46.

Nashville faces Bauxite in the girls consolation game Saturday at 3:00 o’clock. The Scrappers championship game begins at 7:30 tomorrow night.
