Scrappers advance to semi-finals in District tourney

The Nashville Scrappers advanced to the semifinal round of the 7-4A District Basketball Tournament Tuesday evening, with a 60 to 42 home victory over Bauxite. The win means Nashville travels to Arkadelphia Thursday, February 25 for a six o’clock contest against the Badgers. Yesterday’s win also guarantees Nashville a spot in the regional tournament next week at Star City.
At Dierks, the Lady Outlaws saw their season come to an end Tuesday evening, losing a close game to Magnet Cove, 38 to 36. Dierks attempted a shot at the buzzer, but couldn’t get it to go down.
