Scrappers host De Queen

The Nashville Scrappers will play their final non-conference game of the football season tonight, when they host the De Queen Leopards. Not only is De Queen winless in two games, they have yet to put points on the scoreboard. While tonight’s opponent is struggling right now, Scrappers Coach Mike Volarvich says he expects the Leopards to get better during this season under first year head coach Brad Chesshir:

Even though two of Nashville’s three non-conference games are coming against teams who are still looking for a victory, Coach Volarvich says his team has something to prove, no matter who the opponent is:

Remaining tickets for tonight’s game will be sold today at the Nashville district’s administration building. There will be no ticket sales at the game tonight.


Tonight’s schedule of other area games has Dierks hosting Cutter Morning Star in a contest that will be heard on 105.5 the Maverick. Murfreesboro goes to Horatio, Foreman travels to Junction City, Prescott will host Parkers Chapel. The 7 4-A games tonight will have Arkadelphia at home against Greenbrier, Ashdown goes to Hope, Bauxite travels to Newport, Fountain Lake will be at Mayflower, Haskell Harmony Grove will be at Centerpoint, Joe T. Robinson will host Marion and Malvern travels to Lake Hamilton.
99.5 & 105.5 will both air the high school scoreboard show with Rex Nelson at 10 o’clock tonight.
