Scrappers open conference play with 10-0 victory
The Nashville Scrappers Baseball squad won their opening 7-4A District game Wednesday afternoon, with a 10 to nothing 5 inning contest at Malvern. Nashville pitcher Garrett Willard threw all five innings for the complete game victory. He struck out eight Leopard batters, while giving up just two walks in the game.
Aiden Smith and Kason Willard had two hits each for the Scrappers. Nic Garcia and Garret Willard each had three RBI’s on the afternoon.
Nashville takes a break from league play the rest of this week competing in a series of games being played in northeast Texas today through Saturday.
The Scrappers next conference game is scheduled against Bauxite next Tuesday, at Wilson Park.
