Sentences Handed Down In Howard County
A Nashville resident has been sentenced to two years in the Arkansas Department of corrections for failing to keep up his registration requirements as a sex offender. 34 year old Juan Carrillo, who has a South Washington street address, changed jobs in August of last year but never reported that information to authorities. The reporting is required because Carrillo was added to the sex offenders list following an assault charge in 2006.
In addition to the two year prison sentence given yesterday in Howard County Circuit Court, Carrillo had an additional four year sentence suspended and will be ordered to pay court costs.
An individual arrested last month on rape charges in Howard County has entered a not guilty plea to the charges. 25 year old Henry Rodriguez is set for a pre-trial date of December 2nd. Rodriguez’s arrest last month followed an investigation that began in connection with a reported missing 12 year old female.. Authorities say the girl told them she had been with Rodriguez and the two had sexual relations.
