South Pike County School District hires New Elementary Principal

Board Members of the South Pike County School District held a special called meeting Tuesday night. There was a motion made by Alyssa Duggan and seconded by Robert Silva to hire James Riley as the elementary principal for the 2023-2024 school year. Riley has been with the district for 8 years, serving as the elementary counselor.  In those 8 years, Riley has not only taken care of our MES students, but also the MES teachers and staff by making positive changes to the elementary building and instituted many programs that benefit the character and well-being of our MES students.  All were in favor of the motion.
