Statewide Flu Vaccine Available
The Arkansas Department of Health has announced they will be providing flu vaccines across the state in preparation for the 2020-21 flu season. Each county health unit will be hosting a community flu vaccine clinic, which is typically a day-long event.
In Howard County the clinic will be offered October 1st beginning at 9:30am and continuing until 6pm and will be set up as a drive-thru operation. This will take place at the Howard County Health Unit in Nashville located at 201 E. Hempstead.
The shot is available at no charge. You are asked to bring your insurance card if you have one, however, if you do not have one or your insurance provider doesn’t cover the flu vaccine it will still be available at no charge.
The annual flu vaccination is recommended for most adults and children ages six months and older. Especially for those considered to be higher risk concerning serious health problems presented by the flu. For more information regarding this specific clinic in Howard County call 870-845-2208.
