Texas man arrested in connection to local commercial burglary incident

A Texas man has been charged with a commercial burglary reported last month at an Athens store.  On April 23rd, store owners reported someone had thrown rocks through the window at the business.  Surveillance video on the property showed several images of a suspect.  The following day, two local residents contacted the sheriff’s office to report a man fitting that same description, was at the Umpire store.  Deputies made contact with the individual, identified as 27 year old John Rodriguez, of Garland, Texas.  He was arrested and transported to the Howard County Jail & has been charged with Commercial Burglary.
