Texas man killed in accident in Howard County

Sunday afternoon, a camper and truck overturned killing the driver on Highway 278 near the Cossatot River. The accident happened about 2:33 pm.

According to the report from the Arkansas State Police, 45-year-old Nathan Boquist of Wills Point, Texas was traveling westbound on US Highway 278 in a 2015 F250 pickup pulling a camper.

Boquist was negotiating a right-hand turn when the vehicle crossed the center line and left the roadway on the left-hand side of the road. The camper overturned causing the truck to overturn.

Boquist was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene by Howard County Coroner Matt Smith at 4:45 pm.

According to Trooper Richard Butler the weather was clear and the road conditions were dry.
