Twyla Nichols resigns from Nashville School District
Four personnel matters were handled by the Nashville School Board Monday evening. Superintendent Doug Graham said he has reluctantly accepted the resignation of Nashville Primary School Assistant Principal Twyla Nichols. She is a 36 year Nashville School District employee and has accepted a position with the Jonesboro School District. Her resignation was accepted by a 5 to nothing vote of the board. To fill Nichols’ spot, the board accepted Superintendent Graham’s recommendation to employ Hannah Topor as Assistant Principal at the primary school. Topor is currently employed with the district as Language Arts instructor for the 7th grade.
The board also voted to employ Ahren Turner as coach and teacher at junior high school. Kyle Slayton was also hired to fill a bus driving position.
