UA Cossatot to build solar array on Nashville campus
Wednesday afternoon, Dr. Steve Cole spoke to the Nashville Rotary Club about four projects UA Cossatot was working on.
Cole announced UA Cossatot will start a cyber security program on the Nashville campus in the fall. He said students will be able to get a 2-year degree at Nashville and then go to work or transfer to UALR where they can earn a bachelor’s degree in cyber security. He said UA Cossatot will use a $2 million grant to start the program.
He also discussed an energy partnership with UA Rich Mountain in Mena.
Cole said the colleges will build a solar array behind the Nashville campus of UA Cossatot. He said it will save the college an estimated $100,000 in electric bills. He also said the project will be built at no cost to the colleges.
Cole said UA Cossatot was also use $50,000 of its Covid Relief funds to provide mental health services to students.
