Upcoming Pike 5K Color Run and Walk Set for October 26th
Excitement is building for the Pike County 4-H 5K Color Run and Walk, scheduled for October 26th at 9 a.m. Christina Myrkle, the 4-H Program Assistant for Pike County, and Eva Langley, the Pike County Family and Consumer Sciences Agent, recently spoke with KMTB and KNAS about the event and its significance for the community.
In part one of our discussion, Langley highlighted the role of a Consumer Science Agent and emphasized the collaboration with the Pike County Health Coalition.
Myrkle, who has been with the 4-H program for five years, shared how the 5K run offers a fun opportunity for 4-H members to engage with the community, allowing residents to show their support.
Myrkle mentioned that they are available for those who reach out to their office, offering an opportunity to share their stories and inspire hope in others.
The race will kick off at the parking lot of 325 West Main in Murfreesboro. Registration is currently open, and interested participants can sign up by scanning the QR code on our website at southwestarkansasradio.com or by visiting uada.formstack.com.
Stay tuned for part two of our discussion.
