Lemonade Stand Raises Money For Arkansas Childrens Hospital

A group of Umpire kids got together earlier this week to sell lemonade from an old fashioned lemonade stand and the project turned into a fund raiser for Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Savannah Tedford, Tyler Tedford, Emma Manasco, Ella Manasco and Sadie Manasco put their stand on Highway 278 near the Umpire store.

Instead of making money for themselves, the five Dierks Elementary School students decided to donate their proceeds to Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Four hours later, the lemonade stand had generated $369.00 for the children’s hospital. Since then, more money has also been received through the mail for their benefit.

The kids say they are already looking forward to doing something similar again next year.
