Nashville Scrapper and Scrapperette track team finish second in district 7-4A

The Nashville High School Track teams will be well represented at the 4A state meet, scheduled for tomorrow in Harrison.  Team standings from the 7-4A District meet last Thursday at De Queen, had both Nashville teams placing second.  The Scrapperettes finished the meet with 103  points.  De Queen won the girls competition, amassing 279 team points.  Scrapperettes schedule to compete at the state event include: 

Heavyn Collins – 1st in 100, 2nd in 200 & 100 hurdles, 3rd in long jump

Kaniya Adams – 1st in 200

KK Perkins – 1st in shot put

Sidney Townsend – 2nd in shot put

Emily Fatheree – 3rd in pole vault

Cheyenne Adams – 3rd in 100

4×100 Relay – 1st (Kyleigh Scoggins, Lauren Carver, Kaniya Adams, Collins)

In the boys district competition, Nashville had 192 and a half points,  De Queen also won the boys district meet, with 222 and a half points.  The Scrapper team members eligible to compete at the state meet this week include:

Dexter Draper – 1st in shot put

Alex Sullivan – 1st in pole vault

Donte Gilliam – 1st in long jump and 3rd in triple jump

Kelvin Flowers – 1st in triple jump and 3rd in 400

Miller Goff – 2nd in 100 and 200

Roochie Wiley – 2nd in 300 hurdles

Toddrick Watson – 2nd in triple jump

Philip Longtin – 3rd in 110 hurdles

Omari Benson – 3rd in shot put

4×100 Relay – 1st (Steven Wright, Goff, Sloan Perrin, Carmelo Jones)

4×800 Relay – 2nd (Flowers, Seth Feltenberger, Alberto Pioquinto, Colby Clay)

4×400 Relay – 3rd (Wright, Jones, Watson, Gilliam)
