Fire Consumes Vacant Saratoga Home

A house fire engulfed and consumed a home in Saratoga Wednesday afternoon. The home thankfully had been vacant for several years and thus was unoccupied at the time.

Located near the intersection of Highway 234 and Saratoga Landing Road both the Saratoga and Columbus Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the fire. Upon arrival the 1st responders went to work on the blazing flames which reached a nearby electrical pole as well as spread to a nearby mobile home that was located at the rear of the house. The fire was eventually able to be contained.
