Rainfall below normal in October

October finished as the driest month so far in 2020 and only the second month to record a below normal rainfall amounts, with only 1 and 51 hundredths inches of rain measured. Most of that total occurred last week, when 1.19 inches of rain was recorded in a single 24 hour period.
Six other days had rainfall measured…but all six of those had less than a tenth of an inch per day.
For the year to date, Nashville has recorded just under 68 inches rain, which is 24 inches above normal through October.
