City Park getting fields for big weekend of softball

Nashville Parks and Rec is requesting your help. After the recent rain received the fields are in poor shape and with a doubleheader in Scrapperette softball tomorrow as well as 20+ youth teams coming to play on Saturday some extra hands are being requested to help move the field drying process along. Cordless blowers and rakes would be helpful and make sure to wear some boots or shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. If you have the resources or are just interested in how you can help give Nashville Parks and Rec a call @ 845-7405.

Update: An update now on the condition of the fields out at Nashville city park. The community here in Nashville came together yesterday evening and this morning to help get those ball fields dried out an ready to play ball. An just in time for a double header of Scrapperette softball against fountain lake today as well as tomorrow’s 28 teams of youth softball that will be in town playing it out. The Nashville Parks and Recreation department expresses their appreciation to all those on park maintenance, Husqvarna, the Scrapper offensive line, Mike Pinegar and the Nashville community for their efforts to help out. Play ball!
