Nashville vs Arkadelphia game cancelled

Due to a Covid situation in the Arkadelphia school system, tonight’s football game at Scrapper Stadium between Nashville and Arkadelphia has been cancelled. Nashville Superintendent Doug Graham said he received word of the cancellation from Arkadelphia school officials Thursday afternoon. Since it’s a Covid related cancellation, the game will be listed as a no contest. Superintendent Graham said fans who purchased tickets for tonight’s game will have the option of holding on to the tickets and using them for admission to the October 9th game against Joe T. Robinson or bringing the tickets back to the district’s administration building for a refund. Those will be given any weekday today through next week.
Today’s game was scheduled as homecoming for Nashville. The pre-game ceremonies are likely going to take place before the Robinson game.

Tonight’s game against Arkadelphia will serve as this year’s homecoming.
Chloe Wakely will serve as the Homecoming Queen and Nya Esters will be the Maid of Honor.
The Football Maid selections include Aly Dixon, Macy Morris, Molly Parker, Jade Simmons and Lashonna Cooper.
Nashville’s class maids for this year’s homecoming court are Karleigh Reeder, Lamia Hendrix, Ahnyia Williams, Caroline Kesterson, Lindsey Aylett and Jacquelyn Howard.
