Mineral Springs School District installing interactive playground

The Mineral Springs School Board met on Monday evening.

Superintendent Billy Lee mentioned there’s more ESSER money that’s called Learning Loss Money that can be spent on learning loss.

The Lü Interactive Playground turns ordinary gymnasiums into active learning spaces, encouraging students of all ages to get active while reinforcing other academic skills. With Lü, schools can improve student engagement and collaboration during physical education, so no student is left out during class.

High School Principal JonDavid Amerson elaborated on the subjects that can be setup with the Lü Program.

Amerson told the board that they would like to purchase 3 units, 2 for the Elementary School and one for the High School. The cost for these units will be $81,740.

A motion was moved by board members: Ray Hawkins and seconded by Mike Erwin. The board approved the purchase of the Lü Interactive Technology System.
