Dierks School Board accepts bid for classroom furniture

A couple of improvements will be made at the Dierks School District campus With approval from the school board Monday night during their regular December session, $30,700 dollars will be spent on furniture for the district’s elementary construction project. Cousin’s Office Furniture submitted the approved bid, which includes delivery and setup.
The other project approved Monday night is the spending of $20,000 dollars on the purchase of new playground equipment. Money for that purchase is coming from the HPO fund.
Superintendent Jody Cowart also reported the district’s operating budget is $122,000 dollars higher than this time from a year ago.
