Remains Found In Hempstead County Identified

The Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s office has determined skeletal remains found last month in Hempstead County are those of Joseph Christopher Cowart who was reported missing in May of 2012.

Sheriff James Singleton said the remains, along with a firearm, were found in a wooded area near Hope. The cause and manner of death are yet to be determined by the Medical Examiner.
