Sentence Handed Down In Sexual Assault Case

A Dierks man was sentenced to 15 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections Tuesday. 53 year old Rhodie Romine was found guilty and sentenced following a bench trial yesterday before Circuit Judge Tom Cooper.

Romine was charged with Second Degree Sexual Assault last year. Prosecutors say Romine was accused of having sexual contact with a minor in March of 2019.

The felony count carried a prison term of five to twenty years. He will be given credit for jail time served.
