Nashville School Board

The Nashville School Board met last night for their regular monthly meeting. In the meeting Doug Graham informed the board that the iWave installations have been fully installed in the last school marking the project’s completion. The roof work on the Primary school is 98% complete with just a few things being finished up.

Test scores for the district were recently received and reported in the board meeting. 3 of the 4 schools within the district scored above the state standard with 1 tying. Board member, David Hilliard, said this was something they all were very proud of.

Expenditures approved in this meeting included an upgrade coming to the High School serving line. The upgrade will take place over the districts Christmas brake and is aimed at creating a college food court like atmosphere. The total costs for the project which were approved totaled approximately $309,000.

An interim assistant band director was approved last night as Brooke Moorehouse resigned effective last week. Filling this position temporarily and approved by the board will be Dennis Kieth Sanders.
