Howard Memorial Hospital approved for ARPA funding
Tuesday, during Howard Memorial Hospital Board of Directors regular monthly meeting, CFO Bill Craig provided an update on the Sustainability Plan that was submitted to the Department of Finance Administration on July 31st. Craig stated that last week was a great week for HMH because they got to attend the Arkansas Legislative Council Subcommittee meeting. He said that the Subcommittee of the Legislatures approved their Sustainability plan, and they made a recommendation to the Arkansas Legislatures that they fund the Sustainability plan for HMH. Craig stated that on October 20th, the legislatures approved their plan, and they are set to receive a total amount from the American Rescue Plan funds, $3,441,839 dollars.
In conclusion the board approved a motion to remove former CEO Debra Wright and Dr Clay Ferguson from the Diamond Bank Accounts and to add Dr. Carla Pumphrey and Paula Mitchell to the Regions Checking Bank Account. Pumphrey also recommended to the board to appoint Dr Nerie Jamison for Emergency Services which was also approved by Medical Staff. The board voted unanimously to appoint Dr Jamison for Emergency Services.
