Area bracing for colder temperatures

Some of the coldest air Nashville has seen in at least three years, is forecast to move in over the Valentine’s Day weekend, and could stay around for several days into the coming week. As a result of the possible prolonged stretch of sub-freezing temperatures, the Nashville Public Works Department is reminding residents to have any hoses disconnected from outside faucets and make sure those exterior pipes are insulated well to prevent damage. If the bitterly cold temperatures do become a reality, city officials also say it will be a good idea to leave the faucets dripping inside your home.
