Area Christmas Events Scheduled For This Weekend

Christmas events will be held this weekend in Murfreesboro and Washington.  Activities for the Hometown Christmas on the Square in Murfreesboro begin Saturday afternoon with the parade at 3:30.  Santa is scheduled to arrive at 4:00 PM and lighting of the square will take place at 5:30.  Several Murfreesboro businesses will also be hosting an open house.
At historic Washington State Park, the first of two days for Christmas & Candelight will take place tomorrow.  Homes and buildings throughout the park will be decorated with 19th century styling.  Tours begin at 1:00 PM.  However, luminaries and musical entertainment won’t start until 5:00 o’clock.  Christmas & Candlelight admission is ten dollars for adults and six dollars for children age 6 to 12. 
The activities at Old Washington will also be held the same hours on Saturday, December 14th.
