Area Schools Dismiss Classes For Remainder Of Week

Two area school districts have announced their classes are dismissed for the remainder of this week due to a high volume of student sickness. Officials at the South Pike County District and the Mineral Springs School system both announced late yesterday afternoon that school will be shut down through Friday.

Both districts will utilize the A.M.I. days for this week.

Mineral Springs officials say their conference basketball games slated for Friday night are still scheduled to be played at this time.
