Ashdown man charged with uploaded illicit material following cyber tip

An Ashdown man has been formally charged with a number of felony counts following a cyber tip that he possessed illicit material involving minors.
According to the arrest affidavit, a federal search warrant was issued Jan. 24 through the Western District of Arkansas for the Ashdown residence of 25-year-old Bine Ray Whisenhunt. The warrant was issued following a cyber tip to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) alleging more than 200 images depicting child sexual abuse material were uploaded by a phone traced to Whisenhunt.
Whisenhunt has been charged with 10 felony counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, according to court records filed on March 12.
The investigation was conducted by the Ashdown Police Department and the FBI.
Whisenhunt is being held on a $250,000 bond in the Little River County Detention Center. His next court appearance is scheduled for June.
