Centerpoint School in Pike County to add Agriculture School

The Centerpoint School District in Pike County announced on Wednesday that the district’s application for a conversion charter school has been approved. The Centerpoint Academy of Agriculture and Skilled Trades will open in August 2020 and will be the first agriculture school in the state. School officials say this will allow them to better serve students interested in agriculture and skilled trades. Students would be eligible starting in the 11th grade.
