COVID-19 Testing Available At Local Health Unit

The Howard County Health Unit is now conducting testing for COVID-19.

Anyone who would like to test should contact the unit at 870-845-2208 for more information. Testing is being recommended especially for those who may have been exposed to the virus and and anyone who is showing symptoms.

The county health unit is still offering all the services that were available before the pandemic. Some of those, such as most WIC certifications, can now be handled by phone.

Farmer’s Market coupons are still available at the health unit. Those can be obtained in addition to other benefits.

Some precautions do remain in effect locally such as limiting the number of individuals in the waiting room.
