Dierks School Board

Dierks School Board met this week. They unanimously voted in favor of the issuance and delivery of bonds for the school district. Also on the agenda was the discussion of a prom location. After consideration the board voted for the approval of the Dierks Prom to be held at Off the Beaten Track.

Superintendent, Jody Cowart, informed the board that he was successful in finding a school vehicle within the purchase price range that was discussed at the prior meeting.

Cowart also informed the board that Weyerhaeuser had given a $4,000 grant to the school district for the purchase of additional Promethean Boards. This purchase will allow specialty teachers to now have access to such technology.
