DQ man killed following accident in Ashdown Tuesday morning

A De Queen man was killed Tuesday morning during a multi-vehicle accident in Ashdown.

According to the Arkansas State Police, 46-year-old James Revels of De Queen was killed during the incident which occurred around 6:30 Tuesday morning on Highway 71 in Ashdown. The fatal accident report states that Revels was on foot and standing in the passing lane on the southbound side of Highway 71 when he was struck by three separate vehicles.

Revels was pronounced dead at the scene by a Little River coroner. The drivers of the three vehicles were not injured in the accident.

The investigating state trooper reported road conditions as clear and dry at the time of the accident.
