HMH featured in Arkansas Hospitals magazine Spring 2022 edition

Tuesday night, HMH CEO Debra Wright informed the hospital’s board of directors that the public health emergency has been extended for another 90-days and that several waivers affecting critical access hospital’s like HMH will go away when the public health emergency officially ends. Wright also reported there were no COVID admissions during the month of March and no employees were out due to Covid. She said the hospital is receiving fewer requests for COVID testing.

The safe haven box has been installed, however, the electrician is still wiring the system and testing the alarm system. Wright said the alarm system must be tested daily for seven consecutive days.

Wright announced an article written by HMH board member Johnny McJunkins entitled, “Hospital Trustees Serving during COVID’, was published in the Arkansas Hospitals Spring 2022 edition. She said the article spotlights HMH as a rural hospital provider and includes an interview with board chairman, Mark Kitchens.
