Howard County Extension office hosting Small Ruminant Workshop

The Howard and Sevier County Extension offices will be hosting a Small Ruminant Workshop on Thursday March 7th starting at 6pm. This event will be held at the Jackson/Culp Hall in Lockesburg located at 312 E Walnut Street.

Ag Agent Dawson Bailey provided some more of the details along with mentioning what is their purpose of having this event and how you can register.

This is an educational event designed to provide valuable information and practical knowledge to individuals interested in raising and managing ruminant livestock, such as sheep and goats. These workshops cover various aspects related to ruminant production, including Forage Management, Health and Care, Breeding and Genetics, Parasite Control, and Nutrition.

Bailey also mentioned what other events that EHC have coming up that are open to the public.

A meal will be provided, and you can pre-register by calling Howard County at 870-845-7571 or Sevier County at 870-584-3013. Registration Deadline is March 1st.
